Looking for a great fall getaway? Marsh tours are the perfect way to experience Wisconsin’s Cranberry Country. There are several marshes that offer public tours in both central and northern Wisconsin.

Remember, cranberry marshes are working farms – please respect private property by only visiting marshes that are open to the public.

 

CENTRAL WISCONSIN CRANBERRY MARSH TOURS

Splash of Red Cranberry Tours (Pittsville)
Take a 2-½ hour guided tour of several different marshes, followed by lunch with special cranberry treats. Tours are presented by the Pittsville FFA and students from the Cranberry Science Class. Tours are held every Wednesday and Friday during the month of October.  Reservations are required, call (715) 884-6412.

Wetherby Cranberry Company (Warrens)
Participate in Wetherby Cranberry Company’s Public Harvest Day:

  • Always the first Saturday of October
  • 9am to 12pm, last tour leaving at 11:30am
  • Rain or shine
  • Only chance to put on waders and walk right out into the marsh
  • No reservations necessary

NORTHERN WISCONSIN CRANBERRY MARSH TOURS

Fifield Cranberry Marsh (Fifield)
Tour the marsh and buy fresh cranberries daily except Sunday, late September through mid-October. Call ahead for specific dates. (715) 762-4174.

Lake Nokomis Cranberries (Eagle River)
Enjoy a guided tour and buy fresh cranberries during the harvest season (late September through mid October). Call ahead for tour times and gift shop hours. (715) 479-6546.

Manitowish Waters Cranberry Marsh Tours (Manitowish Waters)
Manitowish Marsh Tours run from the first Friday after July 4th through the first Friday of October. Call the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce for details (715) 543-8488.

 

WISCONSIN CRANBERRY HIGHWAY

One of the best ways to see harvest is by driving the Wisconsin Cranberry Highway. This self-guided drive extends 50 miles across central Wisconsin’s cranberry growing region, stretching from Wisconsin Rapids to Warrens.
